A day in my life…

I love connecting with many of you over IG and FB, but even if I posted constantly, it only gives you a snapshot of my life. Therefore, I thought it might be fun to create a post so that you can get to know me a little more! This post takes you through some of my favorite weekend activities (and what I wear for them). I hope you enjoy getting a glimpse into my weekend routine!

Morning

I always use the weekend to get some great workouts in and I try to knock it out in the morning! This allows me to have the rest of the day for anything that comes up from a vineyard trip with friends or just running errands around town. I also like getting my workout in first thing, because I am less likely to back out when nothing else is getting in the way (plus I don’t want to lose my money for the pricey classes)! In terms of workouts, I can honestly say that I have tried almost every class from HIIT to barre to boxing to spin. If you twisted my arm and I had to pick a favorite, Soul Cycle will always be my top pick. There is something about that high intensity cardio and a laud, fun playlist that has me craving this class all week. Conveniently, there is a Lululemon right across the street from my SoulCycle studio, so that I am always perfectly outfitted for each class. Their leggings and jackets are superior!

Afternoon

So nowadays (cue the I am feeling old thoughts), my afternoons are filled with a lot of ADULTING activities. Luckily by living in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, I can walk EVERYWHERE. I love living in a neighborhood that does not require me to move my car to run my errands or meet up with friends for coffee or something to eat! On most afternoons when I’m off work, I grab coffee at Northside Social and pick up groceries/salad bar from Whole Foods. I am NOT a cook and don’t pretend to be, so luckily I can get everything I need at Whole Foods and Trader Joes, which are both so close. Most days, I have hit around 8-10 miles on foot just from being out in Clarendon!

Evening

Not that I am doing a lot of cooking during the week, but I love the excuse to go out on the weekends and catch up with friends! Between Arlington, Alexandria, and DC, there is always a new area or restaurant to explore. Going out also gives me an excuse to get dressed up! My go-to formula for a night out in the winter is simple: a cute top, black denim, and heels. It’s super chic, but definitely easy to put together. This top from Tuckernuck is my favorite outfit making piece. Not only do I love an off-the-shoulder style, but it also has gorgeous fabric, a rich, bold, color, and feminine detailing with the ruffle collar. For around $100, this top is a piece you will have in your closet for years to come and will ensure you get your money’s worth!
