Everything I read in April & May
I am sorry for the lack of posts on here lately! The end of the school year just taken everything out of me. I am SO tired and ready for Summer Break! On a positive note, I have read some incredible books the past couple of months. Here is what I have been reading!
March Reading:
Too Good To Be True
Too Good to Be True by Carola Lovering writes about every woman’s nightmare of dating situation! A young, wealthy woman thinks she has found her guy, someone whoo truly understands and loves her for who she is. There is a twist, and clearly he is not who he pretends to be!
The Four Winds
If you are a Kristin Hannah fan or loved The Nightengale, you need to read the Four Winds. Set during the Great Depression, this book shows the struggles that many faced during this period of history and is a true testament to human spirit and perseverance.
We Begin at the End
This book was started slow for me, but I got invested in the story! Chris Whitaker did a masterful job creating interesting characters that you were rooting for in the midst of true struggles!
May Reading (so far):
Finlay Donovan is Killing It
After some heavy reading in April, Finlay Donovan is Killing It was the light and fun reading that I needed to start May! Set in the DC area, Finlay Donovan is a fiction writer that gets mistaken as a hit woman, and hilariously gets involved in a crime that becomes research for her next book! This is just pure fun!
The Last Thing He Told Me
I know why Reese Witherspoon picked this for her book club…this book is just so good! It follows a woman, who’s husband disappears mysteriously following the collapse of his company. She and her stepdaughter are left with a few clues to track him down and figure out his disappearance!
A Special Place for Women
This book details a writer, who tries to go undercover to join a secret social club just for women. It’s light, funny, and has just a little bit of romance too!
